Anchored Assurance – A Book Of Hope Providing Hope!
"[Now] we have this [hope] as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whoever steps out upon it--a hope] that reaches farther and enters into [the very certainty of the Presence] within the veil..." Hebrews 6:19 (Amplified Bible Version). This is the premise of the novel Anchored Assurance an unfailing hope in God to protect, save and deliver from trouble.
Anchored Assurance is a story of hope, faith, love and endurance in testing times.

As Haiti has gone through such devastation and as we come up to Mother's Day (UK) the author EJ Obuaya is giving all the proceeds of sale from her novel Anchored Assurance to the Haiti appeal. So, all proceeds of sales from today up until 9pm Mother's Day 14th March 2010 will go to the Haiti appeal through my CAF (Charities Aid Foundation) account and every £1 ($1.49) is gift aided. The novel retails at £8.09 ($11.50).
Why give the proceeds to charity? I hear you ask. Now, let me ask you, is it not frustrating to see so many people in need and not be able to help (at least not right away)? However, when you buy the novel Anchored Assurance for a mum, grandmother or female relative, you can make so many Haitian mothers happy at the same time!
Have you heard the saying, ‘What goes around comes around?' It applies to doing good deeds also, not just karma for bad things done. Additionally, I am doing it for the biblical benefit that states, ‘give and it shall be given unto you' – Luke 6:38 (KJV).

How did the disciples die?
I'm doing my dissertation on the resurrection of Jesus, and have searched highand low for the exact sources for the deaths of many of the disciples. I know how they all die, there are plenty of places that acknowledge this, including the Catholic Encyclopedia and the Anchor Bible Dictionary, but they don't cite the sources, simply write 'tradition states that...'
If anyone has the exact references for the sources from Eusebius ect. for how they died that would be fantastic,

If I was a Sola Scriptura Christian and believed that if the Bible did not talk about it then it did not happen then I would have to say that they never died at all.
But I am a Catholic Christian and fully believe the non-biblical sources that do not contradict the Bible and have been handed down to us from Apostolic times which say that all of the Apostles were martyred except John.
