any cook book suggestions for a beginner in cooking?
I'm a new mom and now a stay at home mom too. I want to be able to cook meals for my family that aren't from a box or frozen or anything like that, but I don't want to get overwhelmed at first either. So far the only recipes I've found involve ingredients I've never even heard of! So I'd really like some cook book (or even just recipes you know) suggestions for a beginner in cooking. Thanks!
Taste of Home has a great cookbook that has recipes, measurements, techniques, and all sorts of helpful information for someone who is new to cooking or for someone with more experience. The checkered Betty Crocker cookbook is also very good. Go to a bookstore and flip through books, find some with lots of pictures and recipes that don't seem too involved.
