Brilliant Artemis Fowl Is Not Hundred Percent Anymore
Here is the world renowned anti hero created by Eoin Colfer, Artemis Fowl, who is out again on his seventh adventure. Artemis Fowl is one character whose one liners and storylines have remained consistently strong throughout the series and this part of the series (The Atlantis Complex) is no different. The new Artemis Fowl believes the world needs to be saved and he believes in his ability to successfully achieve the feat. He needs to bring the human and the fairies' world together to successfully execute the plan. He has to work along with Capt. Holly Short from LEP, and the technological wizard Foaly.
Lots of Trouble to Come
Artemis Fowl is known among the fairies for his brilliant mind but this time the situation is different. Artemis Fowl is not feeling like himself since he is suffering from a strange mix of OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), multiple personalities and some delusional paranoia. As if this trouble is not enough, there also are villain robots, rogue ships, zombie wrestling and then there is a danger of a subterranean city being attacked.
Environmental Concerns Also Integrated
Artemis Fowl and The Atlantis Complex is targeted at young adults, but even the older readers can enjoy the book equally, if not more. Even the current serious issues involving global warming (very much relevant to the current generation) has also been integrated well with the storyline. Eoin Colfer has always stayed consistent with his characters which means you can identify the characters from their behaviour even from a distance, just like your friends.
Only Playing Catch Up With the Enemy
Since Artemis Fowl isn't behaving like himself, the book also turns out slightly differently from the old books in the same series. Artemis comes across as awkward and unemotional, the problem is – everyone else has come to depend on him, so how does the storyline move forward? Since Artemis Fowl is having trouble with himself, everyone else is trying to read the enemy but they can't do it like earlier. They are only playing catch up with the villain who is having a field day due to absence of the protagonist. The part where the readers are able to spy into the mind of Artemis Fowl is extremely interesting for the readers.
Slightly Less Complicated Plot This Time
The plot of Artemis Fowl and The Atlantis Complex is not as complicated as was the case with earlier books. There were instances of double-cross and triple-cross in the earlier books though this version lacks such mind numbing puzzles. The author Eoin Colfer says there is only one more book to go in the series where the hero Artemis Fowl will be offered huge prize to do something dangerous but he will turn it down to do something nice for the world.

Eoin Colfer has said that The Time Paradox may not be the last book, but it will be the last book for three years. I really hope that after three years there will be a seventh book.
