How to Bind a Paperback Book Easily?
Paperback books can be bound easily at home. Once you know the simple steps that are required you will love binding your own paperback books. This hobby is spreading everywhere because people have found how simple it is to bind a book. You can also save money after learning the process. In this article I will show you how to bind a paperbook at your home even if you haven't done it once. Let's get started.
The material that is required
- signatures
- a cover ( thicker than the papers )
- paper clamp
- glue ( white glue, gorilla glue, hot glue, pva glue etc. )
- scissors
- brush for spreading the glue
- sand paper
Here are the steps that you must follow
- Arrange all the signatures to form a stack. All the four sides of the papers should be placed properly. If any side is out of order then trim it with a scissor or blade.
- Clamp the papers near the spine so that the signatures do not move. Now keep them steady.
- Now take the sand paper and roughen up the side along the spine. This will bind the signatures strongly when you apply the glue.
- With the help of brush spread the glue all over the spine edge. Keep it like that ( with the clamp ) for drying. Apply the glue once more after it has dried to ensure that the signatures are attached strongly.
- Lastly take the cover and fold it to fit the spine edge of the book. Use a ruler to fold the cover properly. Now apply the glue again on the spine and attach the cover. Keep this strongly held till it dries completely.
Now you will have your very own paperback book ready to be read. Once you get hold of this process you will want to create several books. It gives such a good pleasure and you are saving alot of money. Hope you understood the steps on how to bind a paperback book.

If it's under the count for a print book for that house (she's Samhain and Ellora) then no--it'll never go to print unless it's released as part of an anthology. If it's print "length" (you'll have to check the publisher's website (look under submissions) ) then it probably will.
