Return to Treasure Island is a valuable and high class sequel to original Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. TreasureIsland has always been a favorite among novel readers. The story of "Return to Treasure Island" actually starts with a scene where Jim Hawkins returns from the Island Treasure after three years only to know about the death sentence of John Silver. Jim's crucial decision to assist Silver ultimately forces them to go on searching for the most valuable treasure – The Pharahos Gold.
John Woods has tried to retain the maximum original characters in his book Return to Treasure Island and added few more characters along with romance to make it more engaging for teens and adults as well.
The original book of Treasure Island was the story of a boy graduating into a man. This one depicts a love story. John woods has preferred to highlight this love matter and create a reason for Hawkins to come back to Treasure Island. Woods wants Return to Treasure Island to provide readers with the means to revisit the world of Island Treasure again. He is hopeful that it will give the reader the same adventure and joy of original story. That's why he put a sequence to bring back Jim to the same dilemma like situation he experienced in the original story and wanted readers to enjoy the thrill of going for a treasure hunt.
The whole story of Return to Treasure Island revolves around a puzzling map, mind-boggling secret codes and baffling clues. Finally it's the mutual trust, cunning and courage that serve as weapons to save Silver and Hawkins from a terrible death and help them come out successful in their treasure hunt.
Return to Treasure Island has been able to win the heart of original Treasure Island readers. They have found it to be written in the same lucid style as that of the original one and got additional characters like Long John Silver, Captain Smollett, pirates and a romantic liaison between Jim and a new young lady to remain engaged throughout.
